"Zion National Park"

US

Hi,

First post to this forum. Landscapes scare me quite frankly because I think they are one of the hardest things to photograph. Well, we went to Zion in April and I shot this in the morning while waiting for my wife and daughter to get ready for the day. Comments would be most welcome!

Really? I'm the other way, portraits scare me because the human brain is just so well developed to examine and judge faces with so little effort.

I like the combination of the blue and the green, it's the first thing that struck me. Guess it's because when I hear Zion, I'm expecting to see mostly red rock. I also like landscapes that I can look into and "wander around in". The peak upper left has a kind of "dreamy" haze to it, like it's feathered into the sky and anchoring it to the foreground.

I think you've done a really nice job here with the composition, and the way the creek leads the eye into the picture.

Nice composition. I like the way the water winds into the picture and helps connect the back mountains with the foreground. Don't be scared! Great shot

You are doing very well and if you ask me, I see no reasons with your technique and photographic knowledge to be scared of.
I do not think anybody can do this better! Lovely scene where the river plays an important role joining, on one side the mountains and on the other the unknown.
Colors are great too and exposure right on.
Afraid of what?
