Hi folks. I just purchased my first dSLR (Nikon D80) last week after using a Fujicolour F-11 for the last couple of years. This forum has been a tremendous help to me in both choosing the right camera and also using it.
I'm hoping some of you might want to give me some pointers as to how I'm doing in this new medium. I'm pretty weak at editing so any help or advice would be very welcome. Here's a couple (if I manage to link them correctly) that I like but which may or may not be good.

Your shots are very good. You can do most of what you need with Lightroom, which is a lot less intimidating than Photoshop.
No excuses about learning Photoshop at 42. I'm 58 and teaching myself about it. Once you play with Curves on your photos and see how easy it can be to boost the contrast, you'll be hooked. If you start with good images that are well exposed--as you clearly do--there isn't that much that's necessary.
