That's what this mockingbird seemed to be thinking when he cocked his head and looked at me this morning at Lake Artemesia in MD. D100/Tamron 75-300mm/tripod.

You seem to be getting the hang of the Dan-100

Dan,

Looks like you are enjoying your D100. I really like the DOF here (or complete lack therof). Nice shot.

Enjoy

Thanks! I'm enjoying the D100 more and more each day. I was worried about the learning curve, but frankly I'm surprised at my level of comfort after only 3 shooting sessions. I think the biggest issue so far is just finding the settings that I prefer, and adjusting them to the changing lighting conditions. After 25 years of shooting slide film, I definitely have some preferences regarding color and contrast.

He is thinking...

My that is a big eye that is locked in on me.

I don't like big eyes.

Should I try to peck it out or will a good strafe get the job done?

Nice capture have you considered cropping a little tighter?

I did think about it, but I decided to post this pretty much full-frame. I thought maybe showing both horizontal lines of barbed wire would be effective, but perhaps it's too much, or unnecessary.
