"One-legged Coot"

It wasn't until I zeroed in on this American Coot one morning a couple of weeks ago that I realized that he was missing a leg. I guess life at my local lake is rougher than I thought. N90s/AF 300mm f4 EDIF/Tamron SP 1.4x/Provia 400/tripod set on ground.
