"Animals in their habitat."

Ghent, BE

Hi Nature-Nikonians,

Mostly whe try to take a picture of an animal as close as possible. I also like pictures where the animal is just a little part of the picture. If you have any, let them see.

Greetings,
Wim

Nice butterfly - but is that really what corn looks like over in Belgium? I'm a city boy, but I'd put my money on wheat ....

Here is an obligatory Aussie kangaroo photo. Taken with my old F60 and an - ahem! - Vivitar 100-300, hand held. The Vivitar is now long gone. These roos live in a big paddock adjacent to my daughter's high school.

Here's a hoary marmot, taken at Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada, last summer.

I love how these animals do such a great job of blending into their surroundings...

Hello -

I guess a railroad track is part of a bighorn sheep's habitat, at least for this one. Along the Gunnison River, about 30 miles west of Canon City, Colorado.

N80 and Quantaray 70-300mm f/3.5-5.6 lens @ 300mm. Fujicolor 200, 1/350 at f/5.6. Handheld - with me trotting along the edge of the river to keep up with him and his harem, pausing every now and then to take a picture. Not a very good shot, but this is when we were both in the area....

Happy Shooting – Bob T!!
