"GOLD FINCH IN GOLD BUSH"

buffalo area, US

taken this evening in my new back yard. they are in a forsynthia bush and realy hard to manualy focus on but i think these two are pretty sharp. i haven't shot any birds in a while so while the light was nice i got out the tripod, a lawn chair and a guiness and sat and waited. the feeder is just starting to draw some birds now and it was a very relaxing kind of shoot. i highly recomend it. there are some great subjects around if you just stop to look. i haven't been doing that at all lately. anyway, d100 sigma 400mm telemacro nef. i guess it's still wildlife.

Hi Nick

The birds match with the great colors of the trees. Beautifull birds! Can you get closer?

hilbre, i hope to have the time to get more serious about shooting when my deadlines are over. i was trying to open my framing a little to show some of the bush color, but i may have to get closer anyway. here's one more.

Hi Nick,

We have some of these great birds too....aren't they beautiful?!

I really like the last one you posted, it seems to frame the bird
better, which draws the eye to him.

Very nice!
