Crows are not my favorite subjects, but I have been experimenting with my new 300mm f4 and TC 1.4 TC and have been blown away by the results. I went out to a lighthouse nearby, hoping to capture some birds in flight, hand held. Alas, no active birds, but this crow patiently waited for me, about 50 feet away, to take a few shots and just when I lowered the camera, of course, he took off and a blurry bird and a second frame of empty sky was all I got. As you can see, he paid more attention to me than I did to composition--cut his toe nails....
C & C are always welcome

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Lightroom is my friend when it comes to getting decent exposure, I tend to under expose. In this case it was a sunny day and the crow was sitting on some driftwood with sandy beach in the background. Am looking forward to a lot more practice. This is fun!
