Very nice series. The cropping did not influence my liking your pictures. Removing the TC would shorten the focal length enough to prevent the cropping (I am not saying anything you dont know). Again very nice shots, I should have such problems.

One problem with removing the TC from this lens... The AF-S 300/f4D has no rear lens. Many protect this lens from getting dust into the lens by permanently attaching the TC14E II. The TC plus the Kirk replacement collar make this a great birding kit.

Yea, these are so horrible. Not sure why you've even waste time posting those images.

Yea, right. I have the same problem sometimes. When things are too close, it's hard to get a composition when they are moving. I love this birding kit. I have to remove the lens from my D7100 at least once every two weeks to make sure it hasn't fused.

I love this kind of shot. #1 is my fav. Love the water droplets.

The thing I hate about the Brown Pelican image is that I'm going to have to remove all evidence that I ever took a photo of one.

Thanks for sharing!

These are wonderful. I feel each birds eyes looking at me as I view these pics.

Just got the 300 f/4 and my TC14 just arrived yesterday. Did a few test shots, and I was very impressed with the lens.....Going to post them.....but not next to these...

Beautiful work!
