"Opinion"

Mysore, IN

Hi all,

I am thinking of adding a lens which can be from wide to medium zoom, so that I will have a range up to 200,the nearest I could get is

Sigma 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 II DC OS to suit my budget.

I am looking for feed back on this from the users.

I don't have the sigma, but do have the Nikkor 18-200 and love it. It's a great walk around lens.

An alternative Pakku, would be to split it into two lenses. The Nikkor 55-200 VR is a small cheap lens that delivers really solid optical results. Pair that with the 18-55 VR kit lens - or the even better 18-70 3.5-4.5 which you can pick up for $100 used - and you'll have far better optics for about half the cost of an 18-200.

My buddy, the Canon shooter, bought one of the Sigma 18-200s used, and he almost never takes it off his camera.

It is a Fine and Pleasant Madness
