I spotted this pair on the grass by the duck pond. The larger bird has a broken or somehow injured leg. It would not put any weight on it and just hopped around. You can see it hanging below the bird. I tried out my tripod for the first time with this lens, on BIF. The Manfrotto 498RC2 ballhead worked okay. Looking for a gimbal mount, now. NAS, lol
D300, 400mm Ai-S mf, TC14E-II, ISO1600, 1/1250s, f8
