Beautiful bird. It's the red eyes that get my attention. I don't think I'd have noticed the OOF beak if you hadn't confessed. I do envy you for birds like that. There's nothing wrong with the looks of our cranes but firstly they flew to warmer climate two months ago and when they're are here, they detect any movement hundreds of meters away and off they go.

Great portrait Preston. You nailed the focus on the eye which was the most important aspect. The soft end of the beak is not important IMO.
