"Barn Owl at ISO1000 on a D7000"

A friend runs a Raptor refuse sanctuary. This little chap is 3 years old and has been with him after breaking his wing when about 10 weeks old. The wing took months to recover, but to release him would be disaster as he's become totally dependent on humans. Taken at ISO1000 as it was cloudy with dusk approaching.

At 1000 ISO that is remarkably clean. I also like the Barn Owl with the surrounding "barn". An interesting image for sure. Thanks for sharing. One of my favorite creatures.

Thanks to everyone that commented. Whilst at the rescue centre managed a a picture of a Kestrel, resident after suffering a broken wing. This time with the D800 and 70-200mm f2.8.
