"Semipalmated Sandpiper - I think"

This was photographed in St. Catharines, Ont., on the weekend. Does anyone know if this is indeed a Semipalmated Sandpiper?

Beautiful images,Dave. Could be a Sanderling, but I'm no expert on shore birds. The semipalmated and sanderling are very similar.

Super sharp Dave, love the low "belly" shot angle. I'm also leaning towards it being a Sanderling, but still learning my shorebird ID's.
