Hello, I have an N70 and an FE2 and had a cheap flash that I was using for both, then decided to upgrade, so I found a great deal on a SB25 with no manual and am trying to use it to its maximum potential on both cameras. Im not sure what the difference in Auto and TTL mode are and which to use on either camera. I do not have a manual for the FE2, but I do have a Magic Lantern Guide for the N70, but it doesnt say much about using it specifically with the SB25 or much about using it in Manual or Auto mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

On your N70 the SB-25 will give TTL flash; the unit will automatically set the ISO speed just by half-depressing the shutter on the camera. You set the camera on Program and that's that. On the FE2, this camera has TTL capability but you may have to set the ISO speed manually on the flash and check if the aperture setting you will be using is within its range as shown in the back LCD. The FE2 was introduced in 1983, the SB-25 in 1992, that is why you will not see any reference to this flash in the camera's manual. I have two FE2 but have to confess never using my SB-25 on any of them. (For that I use the old reliable manual Vivitar 283.) Hopefully some Nikonian here will have experience with this duo.
