"Modifier for shooting motorcycles and other shiny stuff"

Mckinleyville, US

I have an SB910 and an SB700 I am using with a D800. I shoot motorcycles with lots of reflective surfaces. Shooting indoors I have been using shoot through umbrellas but get distinctive umbrella shaped reflections. So, I am thinking softboxes would be a better choice. Right?

What is the largest size softbox I can use as a portable with the Speedlights? I have light stands with umbrella mounts. Any particular brand or style to recommend?

Thanks, Stephen

to avoid the reflection of the light source, it needs to be bigger than the motorcycle. People who shoot vehicles, frequently make a diffuser out of a sheet and bounce the light off of the ceiling and then through the sheet. Google lighting for automobile photography and you should get some good ideas.
Have fun
