"Rechargeable CR123A that may be OK?"

Since the purchase of a R1C1 and an AF-S 105 VR,
Have been looking at the rechargeable option,
Most have had a very high voltage, nomally, 3.7V, whereas the lithium batteries were 3V,
I have now sourced some "new" rechargeable CR123A batteries here at 3.2V which should be OK IMHO,
http://www.batteriesdirect.com.au/shop/product/23472/.html

What do you think?
I think the charger is about $40
Regards,
Gary

Gary,

Most 3.2V rechargeable batteries are listed as 3V and should be ok to use in the SU800 or the SB-R200. I use both Delkin Devices eFilm 3V Li-lon (www.delkin.com) and Battery Junction's Tenergy 3V Li-lon(BatteryJunction.com). My most recent order was from Battery Junction as follows:

Name Code Qty Each Options
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UltraFire Battery Case ULTRAFIRE-CR123A-4-CASE-BLUE 3 1.50 Select A Color = Blue
Holds: 4 x CR123A or 2 x
18650
Tenergy 30202 - 4 Pack TENERGY-RCR-900-KIT 1 28.75
RCR123A 3V (3.2V) 900mAh
Rechargeable Li-Ion
Battery with Smart
Charger
SPECIAL PROMOTION - 1 KEYLIGHT-OFFER 1 1.20 Free-Item = Only with Keylight

The battery charger in this kit will charge two batteries at a time and this order was for four rechargeable batteries. I also ordered three plastic covers to protect the batteries from touching other metal objects and causing any kind of mishap. Considering the cost of "use once" non-rechargeable CR123 batteries this is the most economical way to go.

Mike

Hi Gary,

I have been using Tenergy 123A Li-ion rechargeable batteries in my SU-800 and SB-R200's for a few years now and they still work very well.
Good Luck and Enjoy your Nikons!

Best Regards,
Marty
