Hi,
Just got a new SB910 a few weeks ago.
I bought it new and no drops; honest.
It works well; all functions are okay - good results.
There is a rattle that seems to be in the flash head.
It is evident whether on or off the camera.
It is evident whether switched on or not.
Sounds like a loose small screw in a plastic cavity.
Apparent on a mild shake or even moving it to change positions.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Because of the similarities, SB900 users can chime in also.

Hi Terry,

My SB-900 has a soft rattle when I shake it.
It doesn't sound like a loose screw though.

Terry,
My SB910 does have a little slack in the swivel joint of the flash but not quite a "rattle" per se.

Yeah, soft rattle decribes it nicely.

Ike,
I've noticed the slack ('play'?) also.

Hi, I reopen the topic just because I noticed the rattle that the OP is talking about. Even mine flash unit do the same noises when shaked or moved. I didn't noticed or paied attention before, but the flash didn't fall or take a hit before...maybe is normal, do someone found an answer?
