"Boosters for SB-600 or SB 800 ?"

AU

Are there any boosters available for the Nikon made flash guns?

More power on the waste line pack, more kick in the flsh, faster recycling longer shooting time without changing batteries.

Does Nikon produce product to fullfill this need? Does a 3rd party?

Any help would be appreciate

thanks

look at the SD-8a if you want to stay with Nikon:

No more kick in flash available, flash tubes are flash tubes...
The rest is true...

The SB600 does not have any connection for an external high voltage input, while the SB800 does.

Quantum makes power packs for both the SB600 and the SB800: http://www.qtm.com/Turbo/?res_set=yes&res=1280&resh=1050 .

I haven't seen one, but the Quantum QB1+ and QB1C work with the SB600. I think there is an adapter that fits into the battery compartment and a couple of leads coming out that go to the pack. This pack will not cycle the flash significantly faster, but it will greatly increase the number of flashes you can get per charge.

I have used the Quantum Turbo Compact with the SB800. It supplies high voltage to the high voltage input to the flash. This significantly speeds up the cycling of the flash, but it also makes it easy to melt the flash. You have to stop shooting for several minutes to let it cool down.
