"How much would you pay for an SB-80DX?"

US

If you were going to be purchasing a used USA model SB-80DX in 9/10 or better cosmetic condition and perfect working order, how much would you be willing to pay? Ebay prices are all over the place, from $90 to $185 all in mint condition with box and original accessories. I've never seen such a span of values before for any piece of equipment. KEH wants $172 for one in LN- condition. Generally, a private seller should sell for 20-25% less than KEH from what I understand. That would be $129-138. Is something like $110 to $120 reasonable or too low for a private seller?

Thanks.

An undeniable paradox: To think that there is any such thing as an absolute rule is at worst naïve, and at best, shortsighted. There is no such thing as an always-true, all context- or situation-salient, absolute rule that always holds true…including this one!

What camera do you want to use it on.

I would not buy it as it is not compatable with the D50. D70, D80 and is also not CLS compatable.

Skirting around the question?

I have a D1H and some film bodies. I doubt I'll be buying a new DSLR for a long time.

Don't answer; it's too late now and I've made a purchase already. I don't really care anymore. I'm not updating this thread again or reading it again. Case closed.
