I share with you,a beautiful (past) part of me...

this camera is still up and running ... and I will sometime-before summers' end-do a current thread - with this camera...but for now;

celebration shots - from when this was my main camera,or bi-main camera...5,6 and 7 years ago.

I did good IMHO because no one told me - this wasn't the best camera in the world...

I was FULL EAGER to DO good.

I now have this camera paired with a Nikon coolpix P7000 (so I'll do a current thread eventually)...and I am determained to leave on the wide glass converter-on the 8400.

Honestly - I'm amazed at the photography outta this camera...I know it does include me,and my strong desire to really 'put it together...

Very happy day

Larry
OH- if we see nothing else from these shots-we can see ...old digital cameras can be fun,and a challange>>>to do good.

Wonderful photos, both bunches. More proof that it's the photographer, not the camera. I still treasure many of the photos I took with my CP 5700. I used it until it no longer worked because it would do things my DSLR couldn't. Even though I have a great lens for the SLR that can get closer, the 5700 still was my go-to macro camera.

Best,

Hendrik

Good news ; I'm reviving this camera/w/wide glasss >pairing it with my P7000
becoming a power P+S prosumer system.(To use as ALL Nikon when I don't use my MAIN POWER SYSTEM ; Panasonic GH1/7-14 and Canon SX40HS).

Very happy day - and good morning Nikonian world ! / Larry

Since I'm still in the same spot....I'll note here that recently I purchased a like new FC-E9 fisheye converter for this camera - but,I'm also gonna use it on my P7000 too.

Been eyeing this converter for years.
