"Nikon Coolpix L1"

Need an opinon on the Nikon Coolpix L1 and the Coolpix S01.
My wife has the L1 and it works fine, nothing wrong other than
she thinks she wants the newer S01 only because it is a lot
smaller and will fit in her purse better. Any thoughts on what
would be gained or lossed in going with the S01??

Bump.

S01 refurbished goes for $50 or so these days. as far as I understand it's a fully automatic small camera. is it any better than iPhone 5's camera in user control aspect? I'm more concern about a possibility of manual override, especially exposure correction. I do my Sunday bike rides through a forest and will benefit from having a dedicated small camera (I have iPhone 5 anyway with me, but limited camera control on iPhone makes me to think about getting a dedicated small P&S camera, like s01 or a similarly sized camera. I have P7000, but's it's too big to carry it on a bike ride. Any comments?

Best regards,
Vlad
