"ClearViewer on CoolPix Pxxxx?"

Santa Fe, US

Has anyone used the ClearViewer on a Pxxxx camera?

If so, how well did it work? In particular, did it really let you see the LCD in bright sunlight?

I'm considering the P7700 - been impressed with the IQ of posted images - but where I live trying to see the LCD outside w.o. some kind of shading isn't possible.

Hope someone does try this device. It seems as if it cannot work being just a magnifying glass at a fixed distance from the Monitor. Why would that 'shade' the monitor screen in bright sun or is there something I'm missing? I tried a hand held magnifier in bright sun as an experiment. It didn't work!
Its cheap enough.
