Hello all,

I want to get an extension cord to connect my D50 to my SB-700.
Can you help me on which could be the best choice?

You have several choices:

Current offerings -

SC-28 cable - simply an iTTL compatible extension cord - locks securely to both hotshoe and flash - about 3' in length.

SC-29 cable - same as SC-28, but offers an IR AF assist light on the end that connects to the camera - this disables the IR AF on the flash. The advantage is that if your flash is sitting in a bracket (usually to one side), the IR isn't pointing directly at the subject.

If money is tight, you might be able to find a used SC-17 on the market. It's still compatible, but it's missing nice things like the posi-locks on the hotshoe and flash.

I have what I think is the SC 28 cord, but mine stretches to almost 10 feet. Very handy, and in dire necessity, I can daisy chain it with my SC 17 cord.
