Hi to all, this is my first post. I have had a D50
for some time and really like it. Recently i have
gotten into taking pics off my 60" HD TV.
The stock lens wasn't getting it for me, so I got
the 70-300mm.
This was perfect for taking stills from movies
while pausing scenes. I havn't printed any yet
but I will soon. Try it and let me know. Thanks.

I used to take pictures of my tv screen a long time ago. Film and CRT, to give you some idea of how long ago. A couple of tricks I learned. Shutter Speed 1/30 or slower and slightly out of focus. Of course these tips might not apply to HD. The slow ss was to make sure an entire frame of video was captured and the soft focus was so the scan lines didn't show.

I know what you mean. Since I can pause the screen
and it is very clear, I can shoot the shot several ways.
Then look at it, make a decision, then print. I will post
Some soon. Thx.
