Thanks for the comments Beatcat. You have a 10 minute train ride before you get to the walking point, then a 1 hour walk to get back to where the train takes you out again.

They truly are magnificent to see. Most areas are high but some are cathedral like in size. I took 88 photos in total. Had to use HI ISO and have been more than pleasantly surprised at how well the D40x performed under these circumstances. Have had the camera for about two years now and am well satisfied at the way it works. Over the last 50 years or so have used most types of camera, from film and went digital in 2000. Did use several different SLR's in that time and DSLR's since 2000, the D40 x being the latest one.

I took my trusty D40 to my hometown's parade in June. I tried to find unusual things to shoot and I took a couple of photos of some of the big balloons as they went by. Here's one...
