I've searched ans searched, I've tried Bibble, I've tried Camera Control Pro, I'm tred all possible orders of plugging/opening software/setting up capture folders. I cannot get my D40 to work tethered. It's on M/P, it's plugged, everything is set like it should.
Are there any known compatibility problems with the D40?
Just for info, I'm running OSX Tiger on a Powerbook G4 12in, with 768 Mb of ram, Camera Control Pro Trial, Bibble 4 trial, Capture NX Trial, Picture Project 1.7.
Bibble just won't take in the pictures as I shoot, while Camera Control Pro gives me the "No camera was found" warning, even though it's absolutely, positively connected.
I'm without a clue, really...

I fear I've run into the stupid update bug with CCP. The update installer says I need to uninstall the older version of CCP before instaling the new one, but then, once it is uninstalled, the Update can't find a CCP to update, so it closes.
I'm communicating with Nikon to try and resolve that. I heard some other users have had this problem, which was solved by rebooting between installation of 1.0 and the update, but no luck for me.
If someone has had this problem and fixed it, please let us know!

Have you tried switching the Camera's usb mode to MTP/PTP? I thought my camera didn't have it for some strange reason (mostly because everyone mentions PTP, but the camera lists it as MTP/PTP (The M threw me off)). Had it turned on and now it works perfectly. If it still doesn't work, try installing the drivers that came with the camera.
I hope this helps.

Yeah, everything was set fine. It works now. I just had to get the official CCP 1.0 on the website, install it, reboot, the get the official CCP 1.3.0, to add the D40 module. I had gotten the trials on some other website, and I guess they had discrepancies.
I'm now enjoying CCP and I've set it up so that Lightroom watches the download folder, so I can automatically add some adjustments. Purdy shweet!
Thanks for your help!
