"D50 with Lexar Card Failure"

Whitehorse, CA

I need some help to determine if I can save any of the images I took today with a 512MB Lexar card. The camera suddenly did not write to the card any longer (although just seconds earlier I looked at some of the shots) and the showed where the remaining images are displayed.
The card was probably 3/4 filled with NEFs when it displayed 'This card cannot be used'.
It's not recognized by the D50 or as a disk image by my Powerbook.
Cannot be formatted either.
Cannot be read in another camera either.
So, I'm at a loss here and wonder if I can retrieve my shots somehow.

Go to the Lexar site they have image recovery software as do other sites.

Most professional printing labs have several different recovery software programs and may have better luck than you do.
