Jose,

You can download a free program that will show you full exif data for each photo. Do a search for Opanda Exif. Not sure if Opanda is available for Mac though. Came across this one for Mac but have not tried it: http://homepage.mac.com/aozer/EV/

Shot with 18-135mm kit lens, at ISO 400 and F/13 and 1/125s.
Focus was set at 31mm.

A blowup of the top of the tower in odd transition from my previous posting shows the seemingly pristine core of the building and the wrecked outside.
D80 w/ 18-135mm kit lens, focus at 40mm to get a full shot, but this
is the cropped top. ISO 400, F/8.0 and 1/250s. Spot metered at
the dark center.

Shani,
I've been offline for a few days, and just noticed your kind comments about my images. Thanks!

From what I can see of Brisbane through your nice images, I believe you would have a blast there, with any of the fine super-wide zooms that are available for the D80.

Under the Bridge...

Okay, here's one I posted earlier in another forum. This is a view of the old Mississippi River bridge in Memphis - and the southernmost of four bridges across the river in Memphis. I have a version without the Truck, but thought it gave both context and perspective to the image.
Info: Shot right before sundown; 32mm; 1/2 @f22; ISO 100.

Nice and peaceful. I like the dark inside the mill building, it adds "mystery" to the shot. Do you know whether any of the original works are still inside?

Lee...Thanks for the kind words. It really was a photogenic old structure. I'm not very knowledgeable about mills. I did go inside, but cannot tell you if the works were original - it looked like some more recent carpentry work had been done on the stairs, railings, etc., and, according to the historical marker outside at least, the mill had been on this site since the 1800's (I want to say it said 1852, because the marker also talked about confederate and union forces meeting near the mill site during the Civil War). The wheel and shaft mechanism itself looked like it was very old, but it may have been replaced since the original structure was built. I have no clue how long this kind of mechanism could be expected to last, but surely not 100-150 years! I have not been able to find any reference for it on the internet - it is called "Martin's Mill" and is located on US. 63 south of Hardy, Arkansas. Next time I get up that way I plan on taking some more shots - hopefully in either the early morning or early evening light.

Jeff

Here are two pictures taken in London a few weeks ago. The first if the Tower Bridge and the other O'Neill's pub.
Both had minimal processing in Capture NX, as I am a complete newbie to it.
