I have a D80 and I'm wondering if I can replace the focus screen with the screen of an old N2020 I have. I'd like to make the D80 easier to focus with an old manual 105mm manual focus lens. I searched the internet, but can't really find an answer.

I believe the D80 screen is a Type B and the 2020 screen is a Type J.
Other than that I haven't been able to find dimensions on the two.

Anyone know if this would help or if it's possible without a lot of hacking?

Hi Kevin,

I am very confident that the focusing screen from the N2020 will not fit in your D90.
That said all is not lost. KatzEye Optics makes a relacement fucusing screen for the D80 that has a split prism center circle with a micro prism collar that will make it much easier to manually focus.
