"Pop Up Flash Power"

US

Is there a way to adjust the pop up flash power (besides the Flash Comp control) with out have to go into the menus? I use off camera flash but would like to be able to dial the pop up down and use it for a little fill flash. Thanks for any ideas.

No. The cheapest Master/Commander Speedlight would be an SB-700.

Flash power increase?
Hmmmm, what would happen if you adjusted your ISO sensitivity?
Pages 74 and 166 of the manual is a good read for this.
This may allow you to get more out of your max. flash output.
Unwanted noise is the caveat here - watch for that.
Also, keep you battery high for when using the flash.
I do not know but I should think the flash is jeapordized
if the battery is weaker.
Just my two cents.
Good luck.

Hi John,

Welcome to Nikonians!
Other than using sub-command dial to adjust the Flash Compensation (see page 91 in the D90 Users Manual) you will have to go into the camera menu to change the flash settings.
Good Luck and Enjoy your Nikons!

Best Regards,
Marty
