I am in the way to convert permanently a Nikon D90 for IR imaging.
I 'like to buy a Schott filter RG665 for the D90 but Schott requests technical data about that filter that I cannot provide them.
Could someone give me the exact sizes, the dimensions length and width and the usual tolerences +/- 0.05, as well as the thickness usual tolerence +/- 0.2 of the original IR blocking (hot mirror) installed in a Nikon D90 so that I can replace it with the RG665 of the right size ?
PS. I have also to Nikon Support without reply up to now I can get a filter for D90 from lifepixel but I suspect they are in polymer, not in schott glass. R.Cairns could also provide me such a filter but I get no reply neither, up to now.

According to Nikon germany (in fact I tell him to confirn this) this info is confidential... But I can find it : I will open my D90, take measurements and provide them to Schott... Anyway, petit à petit I reach my obective.

Have you received your new hot mirror and the corresponding dimensions since then?
I am in the same boat, I want like to convert my D5100 to full spectrum and need these dimensions before opening up the cam. I suppose nikon DX hot mirrors should be of the same - at least similar size...
