My grandson dropped my D80. Actually it was my D80, grip, sb-28 and 17-55. It appears to have landed on the flash as I can not find on scratch on the camera or lens. It peeled the wings off of the flash where it slides onto the camera. The lens although I can't find a scratch on it has the lens mount ring from the camera attached to it which I removed. Anyone have any Idea what the repair bill might be as I am wrapping it for its trip to El Segundo. There does not seem to be any damage to the lens, It seems to function ok on a second body but who really knows. I think just the momentum pulled the screws from the body because of its weight. Any ideas on cost???

No, I think he might be referring to remounting the lens mount ring to the camera... that could be a bit more pricey than a new flash.
Best would be to simply call Nikon, describe the damage and let them quote you. My guess would be though, that they will say "Send it to us and we'll send you a repair estimate".
You might also check with your homeowners insurance... there might be some coverage there.
