Nikon must have a good relationship with this company and gave them a body some time ago to engineer the housing fit and controls.

Nice to know... But a bit strange that they bother if you ask me. This underwater house is probably going to cost 2-3 times as much as the D70 camera house. I believe the DX-100 (made for the D100) is $2000 or more.

Strange how a relatively simple box of plastic can end up costing more than a peek-of-perfomance-most-advanced-product-in-the-world type thing like tne D70 with it's development budget that undoubtedly is in the 9-digit ballpark.

You can get underwater housings for some of the smaller Canons and Olypus cameras good for depths up to 40 meters (120ft) and only costs around $100...
