"Some Questions ..."

US

Don't know if anyone can really help, as these are specific D70 questions ...

All the accounts I have read indicate that the D70 will retain the full functionality of AF-D lenses, but being a newbie to Nikon, I am not exactly sure what that means.

I am on a waiting list for a D70, and am very interested in the 105mm/2.8D AF Micro, but I would like to know how well it will interface. If it will be limited, that is not necessarily a show-stopper for me, but I would like to know exactly what to expect before I buy one. Can anyone help with this, or should I wait for the camera, and then borrow or rent the lens?

Also, it seems to me that a macro lens shouldn't be too far off in the future for the DX line, has anyone heard any rumblings about that possibility?

Any input would be greatly appreciated ...

Thanks,
paul
