"105/2.8D Micro a good choice for D70 ?"

Subject line about covers it - I am a new Nikonian, waiting for my D70 to ship (USA), and I have an opportuntiy to get a 105mm / 2.8D AF Micro-Nikkor at a good price.

Can anyone provide any advice here? I already planned on doing some macro work with my new D70, and this opp presented itself, and will allow me to get my macro lens sooner, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul

Go for it! Great lens, and you'll get a great working distance at 1:1 with the 1.5 factor. I am looking at buying the 60mm my self. The 105 is a little on the expensive side for me, otherwise I would have bought it, but I comforted myself by thinking that the 60mm would be more like a 90mm and would give an ok working distance at 1:1 compared to what it does with 35mm.

(YES - I know, it's not really 1:1 and 1.5:1 - but in practical life it is - it's the picture results that counts, right? And compared to the pictures I'd get with at 35mm using the same lens...).
