"SanDisk card question..."

York, US

Is the SanDisk 512MB ULTRA II Compact Flash 512 MB 65X
a recomended card for the D70? I'm researching info and am leaning towards purchasing this one. It should hold enough photos to shoot auto racing and be fast enough to do crash sequences. Any help is apreciatted! Thank you in advance!

Both the Sandisk Ultra II and the Lexar WA 40X are recommended for the D70.

Should wor fine. For Example in http://www.robgalbraith.com/ they´ve tested UltraII´s and they´ve worked fine (there´s no D70-preview yet). Nikon just doesn´t recommend them( I don´t know about D70 yet, but they didn´t recommend it to other models, at leas the last time i checked at Nikon-Europe tech-support-site).

I´ve also ordered 2 of those for my (soon-2-be-delivered) D70, which is, by the way going to be also used mainly in shooting Auto Racing. Just need every % of that fast buffer to be ready to shoot good sequenses...

I checked with Nikon support after I pre-ordered my D70, and the only two cards they recommend is the Sandisk Ultra II and the Lexar WA ranges.

Keep in mind Lexar will have the 80X cards out in May. At 12MB/sec, it promises to outdo the Sandisks.
