"Nikon D300 plus Nikkor 12-24 1:4 ED DX - together or separate"
Sun 12-Apr-09 10:38 PM by reuben

Nikon D300, just over a year old, very well cared for - (don't know the shutter actuations but they would be moderate for the age of the camera). No flaws, scratches or any marks that I am aware of. It comes with the box, all software accessories and a spare Nikon battery and 4Gb (Sandisk III) card.
I have bought a D700, so wish to sell the 12-24 DX lens as well but am prepared to let it go separately if necessary.
If you are on this web-site I don't need to tell you about the D300, but if you need more info about the lens go to http://www.naturfotograf.com/AFS12-24DX_rev00.html
It is a stunning lens and definitely delivered my best land an seascape photographs.
It has always had a UV filter to protect the lens, but even the filter is free of scratches (and mould etc)
The price for the camera is $1200 and $600 for the lens, but if you take both you can have the package for $1700.
I am based in NYC/Jersey City area so if you are in the area, I would be happy to show you the merchandise.
Otherwise, we can transact via PayPal.

I'm very interested. Can you send me some pictures of the camera?
Also, do you have the Nikon software with this package?

Sure, here are some pics - yes software (Capture NX, Nikon Software Suite, Picture Project 1.0 and Picture Project 1.0 Reference Manual) - and everything else that came with the camera is included.

I understand you have no reading on the number of actuations. Can you give me your best guess on the number of frames processed by this body?

According to the exif data from Attachment #3, there were 3739 actuations. The image has a date stamp of 3/9/09 from D300 Serial #3041340.

Cheers!!

Thanks David,
In fact that shot was taken with a D100 in Nov 06.
If you have an EXIF viewer (I cant get one to work with a Mac) here is one of the last shots I took with the D300 (Dec 31) perhaps you can figure out the shot count if you are still interested.

To see EXIF data on a Mac, try Reveal: http://albumshaper.sourceforge.net/ .

I've lost track...have you sold your D300 yet? Were you able to determine the number of shutter releases?

I invite you to visit my website at:

Not sold yet - the guy didn't pitch to buy the camera and I have been too busy to pursue further.
In spite of the kind administrations of fellow Nikonians I have not been able to determine shutter count. I am not sure if I am being stupid, but every exif reader gives every possible detail except for shutter count. (The closest I have got is Reveal, but this shows an EXIF Tag of 202 which is not correct)
What is more, i cant attach another jpeg as I have reached by upload limit, but If you are still interested and have an EXIF reader, I can attach a shot that I took a few minutes ago - if you tell me where to send it.
Happy to talk on the phone too, if you are interested.
Thanks
John
