I'm selling my Nikkor 105mm/2.8 D lens. This lens is used but in perfect condition. There are no serious scratches, scuffs or marks on the barrel but you can tell it's been used. The glass both front and rear are perfect. The lens comes with front and rear caps and the original metal hood.
I do not have the box for this lens but I will pack it with absolute precision and will insure it as well.
Asking $395.00. You pay PayPal and I'll pay to ship in ConUS.
I live in the Seattle/Tacoma area and am happy to meet up also.

Hi Cliff and thanks for your intrest in the lens. Your question is a difficult one to answer so I'll just tell you what my decision making was when I bought it. I really enjoy doing macro photography and I love portraits and the Nikkor 105/2.8D has always been know as a real classic. And it still is. Since it was the focal length I wanted and had such a stellar reputation and was at least $500 less then the VR version, I went with this one. I've never been disappointed or sorry that I didn't spend the extra money for the VR version. And, if I hadn't sold off all my Nikon gear, I would not be selling it now.
Just as a reminder, I do not have the box for this lens, but it will be packed extra, extra well, should you choose to buy it.
One more thing, I see by your screen name that you are into aviation photography. I've loved aviation photography for some time as well and was able to go to the Reno Air Races last year (sadly a terrible year with the tragic accident) and get lots of photos. If you're interested and have the time, the link below will take you to some of the shots from last years race. http://www.tomcollinsphotography.com/Reno-Air-Race-2010
I don't know if any of that answers your questions or not, but let me know if you're interested.
