For sale is a rare and extraordinary 28mm f/1.4. It is one of a kind lens with virtually no distortion and an amazing IQ. Kind of a low light and is a perfect combo with a full frame D3/D4/D700/D800.

I have one of these lenses and they are extremely impressive. If you consider the 10 years Nikon spent in development of this lens (check out the story on their website), you can see the incredible performance. Note though, this lens was not designed to be an all-around snapshot sort of lens. It is a specialized piece of equipment tuned to perform in difficult situations.

I absolutely agree and it pains me to separate from it. I also feel I am selling it short but life is life and I need to raise some funds.
This lens is an absolute gem. It doesn't have the fastest AF out there but once it is locked it is sharp and contrasty and IQ even wide open is amazing. It has this interesting 3-D feel reminding you of the best Leica lenses.
If I can raise funds somewhere else I will take it off the sale list as I would love to use it with my Fuji X1-Pro assuming adapter will perform adequate to this lens.
In the meanwhile - I will lower the price to $2800 in the effort to sell it quick.

Price is lowered to $2750 - this is as low as I am willing to offer this lens for and if there is no buyer on Nikonians - I will post it on eBay.

I also have a rare almost impossible to find metal HK-4 hood for this lens as well as Nikon 72mm A2 and Calumet Skylight 1B filters. In addition I have a 72mm to 77mm step up ring to accept all common professional 77mm filters.

If you are interested in the whole package (Including HK-4, filters and a step-up ring) please add additional $100 for the total price of $2850.
