"CNX2...how many computers?"

Arlington, US

Sorry if this has been covered before, I went back several pages and didn't see anything...

I have CNX2 installed on my main desktop computer. It is also installed on my dying Vista laptop. I've purchased a replacement laptop and plan to install it there. How many computers can I have CNX2 installed on at any one time? Can I just uninstall it from the old laptop and put it on the new one if I am only allowed 2 computers (like how PS works?)? Or are there other hoops to jump through? I have the disc with the product key. So I figure I will just download the current version and use my key.

Thanks
Glenn

I don't remember how many computers you are permitted by the license agreement but from a practical standpoint you can simply install on the new laptop and use the same registration key. I don't know about you but I can only use one computer at a time, anyway. I don't think there is an online activation or anything like that.

I have upgraded my computer and re-installed Capture NX several times. Last year Capture NX failed to activate. I contacted Nikon support and they sent me a new key and the following information. If you have trouble activating Capture NX, contact Nikon.

This key can be installed on 2 computers, with the application open on one computer at a time.

Thanks
Jeff

That's the answer they gave me as well. Just have to uninstall from the old computer first.
