"Capture NX2 acting up again"

US

My copy of CNX2 is acting goofy again.

I use two monitors for editing. A 23" for displaying the image, and a 15" for the browser/folders/metadata, birds-eye, histo and edit list windows.

Lately, CNX2 launches and everything is on the 15" monitor. I must minimize it, drag it over to the 23" monitor, then maximize it. Then undock all the windows and drag them back to the 15" monitor. What a pain.

I'm thinking this is more a Windows 7 issue, but I have no clue where to look for what's causing this if it is.

Anyone have an idea?

What version of Nx2 are you using ? Ever since I downloaded version 2.3.2 I have been having problems (memory leaks, screen lockups etc).I have spoken to others using win 7 who have had problems with the latest update.Try going back to version 2.3 and see if that helps- my machine settled right down after doing that.I have logged faults with Nikon incl screen dumps but they are yet to resolve the issue

I think I got it figured out..... Under Windows > Workspaces, I can define different window placement and workspaces. So I just moved everything around to where I want it, and Save Workspace.

If this works, I'll let everyone know.

I don't use CNX2 much these days but when I did I found the workspace, window, multiple monitor features unreliable. It would work for a while and then fail. I never found a solution. Sometimes setting it up again would make it work again. Peter

Well, saving a Workspace didn't solve the issue, but it makes it much faster in restoring the panes to where I want them.
