"NX2 and NX View EXIF data"

Powder Springs, US

I cannot see my ISO, White balance and some other EXIF info in NX2 or NX View. It shows up in Opanda and CS3.What am I doing wrong?

Now that is a strange one -- You can't see the info, and I don't see any
way to turn it off..... In the Metadata tab, ISO is under the Exposure section,
and WB is under Image Settings....... this is a stumper.

Scott - In the "Window" pull-down menu (NX2), make sure there is a check mark next to "Metadata." This will give much more information about your image than what is seen under "Camera Settings."

I believe you have to do this for every image you open if you want to see that detail.

You can adjust the height of the slide out windows or scroll down the window to see more optional screens and data.

I see the fields, just no data. The same thing occurs in NX View.

If I follow you, I open the Metadata tab and see this:

The fields are there. They are just empty.

Just to be clear, I have the windows>metadata selected:

Hmmm, did you try a NEF? How about older images? I have NX2 v2.2.2 on an XP machine and everything displays for NEFs and saved-for-web JPEGs. I just tried a Save As and both JPEGs and Tiff display all.

I don't see any Preferences that would affect what is displayed, but something must be different between your config and mine.

Well, that is plain bizarre! I just opened a jpeg, and I have so much information I
couldn't get it all in one screen capture. This is one for Jason Odell!

This is the same thing as clicking on the plus sign in the metadata tab;
If you check the box in the windows dropdown once that's all you need to do.

The only thing I can think of is that something is corrupted in your system - either the software or the computer itself. It could be 'memory hogging'.

I would try a computer shutdown/restart (not the reboot).

That might fix it.

I'll try that, but other programs work fine. The more I think about it, I believe these files were exported by LR2 from ProPhoto to sRGB. Although I don't think that should do it, maybe it does.

I'm pretty sure it's an Adobe issue. NX programs see the data in the original files. Opanda won't see shutter actuations on LR2 exports.

CS3 sees everything, so I think LR2 exports maintain Adobe compatibility. Maybe I have an incorrect setup in LR2, but I doubt it.
