"View NX2 & Index Prints = Contact sheet ?"

Williamsburg, US

Has anyone used the new View NX2 to print contact sheets of images, maybe under the "index print" option? I read on the Nikon site that index prints are now possible and with selected metadata. I currently use Photo Mechanic to print my contact sheets, and I select the metadata that I want below each. I do use View NX2 mostly to check my focus point and to do things that Photo Mechanic will not, unless I want to go to my full fledged Capture NX2 or Photoshop CS5.
Thanks for any experiences using ViewNX2 index print option,
Debra

You have to work through View NX 2's Print User Interface.

You use the options in the 'Layout' section and select "Index Print". Just above the "Print" button is a check box option labeled "Print Information". Check this option and then click on the now activated "Settings" button. You will now get a pop-up window with 3 tabs you can work through to add the various data items. You also have a number of printed output options.

Sample output:

Thank you very much George. This is exactly what I wanted to know and the screenshot is great - looks like more exif data is possible than with Photo Mechanic. This is what I want on my contact sheets.
I'll try this out this weekend, thank you,
Debra
