"capture control Pro2 - full screen"

Iowa City, US

I have a simple request:

I want a program the will show a full-screen image on my 27" iMac in my studio - as I shoot tethered with my Nikons. I am usually 10-15 feet away from the computer.

I do NOT want to have to go to the computer after each shot and choose full screen from a menu. That is what I have to do now with Capture Control Pro 2.

Is there ANY program that can do that - show me a big image so that I know what I got ??????

Dick:

Nikon View NX2 will allow you to view images full-screen while using Camera Control Pro 2. When you installed Camera Control Pro 2, did you see an option to also install Nikon View NX2?, if so, then go back and install the program and you should be able to view images full-screen.

Best Regards,

Marty

Yes, View NX2 WILL show a full-screen image - but only if I walk over to the computer and select it from the window of thumbnails at the bottom. The most recent image is not refreshed as a full screen view.

What I want is a scalable, full-screen image that still shows the Camera Control Pro 2 buttons - so I can shoot from the computer - and a full screen image that pops up of the last image taken.

Maybe it takes a second monitor to do that? I've got a 27" iMac in the shooting studio - and it is the only Mac here with only 1 screen. The big 27" iMac is on a roll-around cart, and adding a big second monitor may be messy. I'll do a test.

So -at present I do have Camera Control Pro 2 (version 2.8.0) and View NX2 - working tethered with a Nikon D300. It just is not doing what I want it to do yet.

Previous incarnations of CameraControlPro2 and ViewNX2 used to work together
properly, showing the shots as they came in from Camera Control Pro in full screen
on my second monitor. Since the last round of updates, I cannot get VNX2 to
display the shot I _just_ took with CCP2. It shows the thumbnails, but won't
switch to the latest shot, in any view, thumbnail, full screen, etc. If anybody could
fix that little glitch, it's a good solution.

I have he same problem. I cannot get the latest shot to show up anywhere except as a thumbnail. I CAN get a full-screen image on a second monitor -- but it does NOT REFRESH automatically to the latest shot. I have to go back to the thumbnails on the computer and click on the last shot to see the full screen image on the second monitor.

It makes me wonder if the people who build this software have ever worked in a photography studio.

Just one more step, please. Get the full screen image to update as I shoot from the camera position !!!!!!

Well, like I said, previous versions worked just fine. As soon as the
image was downloaded, it instantly showed up in full screen in VNX2.
When I updated to ViewNX2 2.2.1, no more refresh.

Hello Dick:

I recently rechecked my version of ViewNX and what I recalled doing was going back to version 2.0.1, in order to view each shot on full screen immediately after I shot it using Camera Control Pro 2.

Every thing works great using either my D3 or D3s - so I'm satisfied. Perhaps you might consider trying it to see if it might work for you.

Best Regards,

Marty
