I've been trying to access the NIK web page for two days.....It seems to be down. Is anyone else having issues?

OK, so i went to figure.

Loss of connectivity often occurs when your local (on your computer and/or router) Domain Name Server (DNS) has not been updated recently. Just turn your Network Interface Card (NIC) off, then back on. Your DNS will re-establish a connection to your Network Service Provider's DNS and all will be well (if I've correctly diagnosed your problem... lot's of variables here).

Rebooting your NIC is faster and less disruptive than rebooting your computer.

"Where would one find this card to turn off?"

Mac/Snow Leopard:
Upper right hand corner of screen - Click on the Network icon, Turn Airport on/off

Windows/Vista:
Lower right hand corner of screen - Click on the Network icon, Disconnect/connect

These instructions assume (usually means big problems) that WiFi is being used and that the Icons are set to be displayed (fairly normal).

If these directions don't fit your situation, please dig around on your own because...

On Windows, in particular, there are lots of different paths to the same thing and you can create shortcuts to the objective, e.g., you can go to Start (lower left hand corner of screen), Choose Control Panel. Choose Connect to a network (under Network and Sharing Center), and then Disconnect/connect.

Have fun!
