SIMPLE NX2 SECREAT SETTING ,LOOKS GREAT ON LANDSCAPE
saw this little tip on another site but i love it.
take a well exposed landscape and bring up lch editor... merely click overlay and move opacity slider to between 25 and no more then 50%. the effect is amazing.
now can someone explain to me exactley what its doing that pops the photo like that.?
also try taking a color point and sliding brightness to -50 and contrast to +30 and drag it around the photo to see if things improve in detail... its amazing how for such an extreme setting it can work nice in spots.
got any tips of your own?

This is the same as layer blend modes in Photoshop. Different blends give different effects. In this case overlay adds contrast. It is useful for flat looking slightly overexposed images. Google for Layer blend modes to get a description of each one. They aren't all useful though.
