I just acquired the NIK sharpener software and am not sure which output setting to use if I want to forward the file, after sharpening, to a lab where they will print on Kodak photographic paper. It looks like this sharpener does a much better job than USM with PSCS3. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Like many things it takes some experimentation. What a lot of the better print shop places do is offer you 5 free prints of 8x10 (or similar) so you can experiment with sharpening to get the result you want. What I do is zoom to 100%, set it for default printer output, set the dpi of the printer, and then increase the strength to be just beyond what I would use for ordinary web viewing. This is because prints are softer than screens. It's worked for me. It does require experimentation.
