"NX2"

Knoxville, US

I would appreciate information on the removal of materials such as lines and shadows of tree branches in the NX2 software .The picture that is of concern is two immature eagles on a branch with a shadow of a secondary branch in the background .

This is a bit tricky to do in CNX2, especially if the area is cluttered. The Auto Retouch Brush is really designed for spot removal, but with care you might get satisfactory results.

You will probably need to play a little bit with the brush size to get it right. If the area is very small, you may just be able to click on the spot to remove it. If not, work the brush from the edges to the center in as short a stroke as possible. Note that there is a delay of several seconds before the final adjustment is displayed, so take your time.

The CNX2 Retouch Brush is not anywhere near as capable as other the tools in Photoshop, or other programs. However, if you don't want to go teh PS route, OnOne's Perfect Photo Suite now has a retouch tool that works very well, and it will run as a standalone app on TIFs or JPGs saved from CNX.
