Hi

The charger should (must, indeed) state its voltage range. For instance, I bought a P7100 in NYK and its charger (MH-24) specifies the input voltage range as 100-240 V. This particular charger did not come with a detachable cord, so I must use it with a mechanical plug adaptor, but this is not a voltage converter. The very fact that your manual advices against the voltage converter most likely means that one is not needed.
