Nikon will get it right. However, it just takes way too many tries for them. My D800 was sent in for the left side focus issue and they fixed it after 3 weeks. Only I then discovered dirt somewhere within the prism/viewfinder that had to have been left after their service. This got me a return label emailed and another 3 weeks. I got the camera back with more dirt above the focusing screen and a new front focus problem. Another return mailer, another 2 weeks, and I finally seem to have a clean, well-focusing D800. Nikon finally got it right, but it was a pain. I'm reluctant to try out my FoCal tests on it this weekend for fear of finding more issues, but it needs to be done. Nikon seems to fix one thing while screwing up another.
